About this edition: why it exists, and how it's checked
This is an independent reference, not Tomebuy's own site. Here is why it was built this way, and how to tell whether it is still worth reading next time you visit.
Independence
The reason this edition exists is narrower than most shopping guides: Tomebuy's own documentation contradicts itself on at least two material points, storage length and QC photo count, and nothing on tomebuy.com itself flags that for a new buyer. A reference that prints both versions, with sources, is more useful than one that quietly picks a side.
This also means a deliberate limit on scope: no shipping-line prices (Tomebuy's own interface does not publish reliable ones), no star ratings or review scores (Tomebuy does not run a public review system), and no ranking against other agents (see Other agents for why a ranking would not be honest without data this site does not have).
How this edition is checked

Judging an independent reference by its upkeep
Choosing a trustworthy Spreadsheet site comes down to the same test as judging this one: does it update when the source changes, does it date its own reading, and does it admit the gaps instead of papering over them something rather than filling the gap with a guess. This edition states its reading date in the footer of every page, keeps a dated record of the exact Tomebuy pages behind each fact, and would rather print “Tomebuy does not publish this” than invent a number. If a future visit finds the dates have gone stale and the conflicts this edition documents have quietly been resolved on Tomebuy's own site without this edition catching up, that is a sign to look elsewhere for anything time-sensitive.
The source types behind every fact
A small number of source types cover every figure printed here: Tomebuy's own homepage and navigation pages, its fifty-article help centre, its numbered agreement pages (Service & Fees, Storage, Returns and Refunds, and the rest), its five dated notices, and a handful of screenshots taken directly from tomebuy.com. Nothing here comes from a forum post, a review site, or a third party's summary of Tomebuy's policies. Where Tomebuy's own interface returns data that looks synthetic, stand-in line prices, test notices, template text copied from an unrelated agent, this edition says so and leaves it out rather than repeating it as fact.
Corrections, and how to reach the editors
If something here is wrong, out of date, or reads differently from what your own Tomebuy account shows, write to [email protected] with the page and the date you checked. Corrections get folded into the next edition with the date changed, not silently.
